Message from the Director

Greetings from MABIC! We hope this issue of BiCalert finds you well and busy.

We are currently very busy planning and organizing our future events. A workshop for science teachers has been scheduled for 25th April in collaboration with the Centre for Curriculum Development, Ministry of Education. A follow up of this workshop will held mid May at the National Science Centre.

A few more events are in the pipeline and we are talking to potential partners. To keep yourself updated on our events, visit our event calendar. One of our highlights this year is the Asia Pacific Conference on Tissue Culture and Agribiotechnology (APaCPA) which will be in June. We hope to see many local stakeholders at this conference.

As mentioned during the launch of MABIC’s new direction, publications will be one of our priorities this year. We are now working on a few projects and we hope to get some of these out soon. We will certainly keep you posted on the latest developments and our outputs.

As usual your comments and suggestions are most welcome.

Hope to meet in the next issue with more news and happenings in the biotechnology arena.

Sincerely

Mahaletchumy Arujanan
Program Director
