International Symposium
on Molecular Farming in Plants:
"Prospects for the Asia Pacific"

This international symposium
is organized by University Malaya, Centre
for Research in Biotechnology for Agriculture
(CEBAR), Malaysian Society for Molecular
Biology and Biotechnology (MSMBB) in collaboration
with MABIC and International Islamic University
Malaysia (IIUM).
The purpose of this symposium
is to promote the exchange of knowledge,
ideas and information on the newest developments
and applied technologies in the field of
molecular farming which encompasses the
production of pharmaceuticals and technical
proteins in plants. The symposium includes
sessions on molecular and cellular technologies,
novel products, production, purification
and downstream processing, regulatory, safety
and ethical issues, and business model for
commercialization.
Researchers from universities,
research institutes, industry representatives,
and students will benefit from this symposium.
