Design Competition
It is our pleasure to announce
the winner of the Logo Design Competition
who have met all our requirements and submitted
a logo that is unique and inline with the
spirit of MABIC.
Our heartiest congratulations
to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Zulqarnain Mohamed
from the Institute of Biological Sciences,
Universiti Malaya, who won RM1000
for his creation.
The new logo will be disclosed
at a later date. We thank all other contestants.

The Agricultural Biotechnology
International Conference (ABIC) is the major
global conference for agricultural biotechnology.
Melbourne, Australia will host this year’s
conference which is held for the first time
in the Southern Hemisphere. The conference
is hosted and sponsored by the Victorian State
Government and AusBiotech.
With the theme “Unlocking
the Potential of Agricultural Biotechnology”,
the focus of the conference will be on both
innovation and the commercialization. ABIC
2006 will address two most important challenges
in agbiotech: the public perception of what
‘biotechnology’ means; and the
lack of effective commercialization of innovative
technologies.
