Greetings
from MABIC! It was great meeting many of you at the
Asia Pacific Conference on Plant Tissue Culture and
Agribiotechnology 2007. The conference was a success
with a large number of participants and renowned speakers
from around the globe. It created a platform for sharing
knowledge and experience, and discussing current issues
on biotechnology. This is one of MABIC’s objectives
– creating a platform for biotech players to
discuss and debate issues. MABIC was proud to be part
of this important conference.
Later this
month, MABIC is jointly organizing science communication
workshops for journalists and scientists in Sabah
with the Biotechnology Research Institute,
Universiti Sabah Malaysia. We are expecting
very lively and interactive workshops, facilitated
by professional science communicators from Australia.
Next on
our agenda is “Conference
on Modern Biotechnology” scheduled
for 13-14 August, jointly organized by Malaysian
Biotechnology Corporation. The conference
aims to disseminate clear and accurate science-based
information to all stakeholders on biosafety regulations.
We look forward to seeing you at this conference.
