Message from the Director

Dear Valued Subscribers

MABIC was established to bridge the information gap among various stakeholders of biotechnology and to make information more accessible to everyone. Through our activities, we hope to support the government’s effort in promoting biotechnology.

While R&D and industries are instrumental in transforming Malaysia into a centre of excellence for biotechnology, public awareness is equally important to ensure public acceptance of new technologies as well as to lure investors. MABIC hopes to play a vital role in facilitating information exchange between key stakeholders and provide a platform where issues related to biotechnology could be discussed.

Your suggestions and comments are most welcome to achieve our mission. Please do not hesitate to forward BiCalert to anyone you think would benefit from it. For newcomers, please click here to register yourself as a regular subscriber.

Sincerely yours
Mahaletchumy Arujanan

Announcement

Part Time Data Collector

At MABIC, we would like to reach out to as many people as possible to ensure there is wide coverage for information on biotechnology. We are currently compiling a comprehensive database of key institutions, organizations, and individuals involved in biotechnology throughout the country. To do so, we are actively looking for a part time Data Collector who will be able to visit various institutions, universities, government agencies, and research institutes, which are directly or indirectly involved in biotechnology and collate the particulars of the experts in this area.

Ideally the candidate should have excellent communication skills and a fair understanding of biotechnology.
