Message from the Director

Dear Valued Members

It was great to see a number of familiar faces at the recent BioJohor 2010 and to make new contacts. It was also a pleasure to be able to present the “Global status of biotech crops: 2009” and share the latest information with the delegates.

The next exciting activity is the Biotech Study Tour to Washington DC and UC Davis with a group of Malaysian GMO regulators from 30 July – 8 Aug. Loads of meetings ahead of us!

Excitement never ends at MABIC. The MyBiotechnology Carnival 2010 has taken a solid shape with firmer activities. Please check out all the activities lined up and be part of this one-of-its kind biotech activity in Malaysia.

And we are not stopping there. We are taking the MyBiotechnology Carnival to the North! The Kedah Science Centre in Gunung Kerian, Alor Setar will be hosting the event from 23-26 Oct. We are expecting more than 100,000 visitors in Kedah!

Another major international event will be revealed soon once some crucial matters are confirmed. This has been one of the busiest years for MABIC and the major events have fallen in place for its 10th anniversary.

See you soon at the Carnival!

Sincerely

Mahaletchumy Arujanan
Executive Director
